Willing Ponies are a progressive mixture of bluegrass, roots, country, and folk with a twist of pop.
The Ponies’ repertoire combines a mix of original songs, bluegrass, and alt-country/Americana classics capturing happiness, love, irony, and reflections on the struggles of modern-day life.
They combine emotive arrangements of classic standards and obscure gems with a big dose of instrumentals.
Willing Ponies features the talents of some of the country’s top acoustic players including singer-songwriter and flat picker Ricky Pann, Paul Abrahams in the engine room on bass, Mandolin virtuoso Nigel Lever, Ben Thomas on banjo and guitar, American John Lee on fiddle, and powerhouse Quinten Fraser on Dobro and guitar.
